His diploma thesis focused on gene expression and metabolite profiling of human primary mamma carcinomas, under the supervision of Dr. Anke Becker. He continued his academic pursuits with a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree from RWTH Aachen (2007-2010), where his research centered on the interactions of human primary immune cells with various nanomaterials.
