LU Jun obtained his master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010 and his doctor’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from Hongkong Baptist University in 2017. Since 2019, he has been a professor in pharmaceutical chemistry in Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His research interests are focused on the structural modification of natural products, synthesis and modification of drug molecules, conjugation of small molecular drugs (natural products and synthetic drugs) with macromolecules (nucleic acid aptamers, peptides, etc.) to construct targeted nucleic acid-drug conjugates, targeted polypeptide-drug conjugates and liposome nano-drugs etc., and evaluation of effects on antitumor activity, toxicity and targeting, bioavailability and anti-tumor mechanism with the aim to discover and develop innovative and precise targeted anti-tumor drugs. He has published more than twenty papers in the international journals, such as Nature Aging, Nature Communications, European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacological Research, Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, and so on.
