SUMMARY: An executive with 40 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, with a demonstrated success in pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug development, drug discovery and delivery of conventional drugs, proteins, and peptides. He has a broad knowledge of science and technology based on education (D. Phil. in oncology, M. Sc. in organic chemistry and the science of macromolecules, Dipl. Eng. in rubber and plastics technology) and on work experience in a variety of technical areas including immuno-modulatory and anti-inflammatory drugs, gene therapy, drug delivery (oral, trans-dermal, inhalation and vascular permeability), peptides, proteins and other macromolecules), drug characterization, formulations, pre-clinical and clinical investigations of safety, toxicity and efficacy, assay development and validation, clinical-supplies manufacture and logistics, stability studies for both drugs under development and marketed products, clinical trials, analysis of unmet medical needs and of indication markets, project management and regulatory requirements for drug-product market approval. He has experience in interacting with the FDA and other regulatory agencies. He has established a solid base of NIH SBIR funding, having to date raised $12+ MM.
He has demonstrated competence through publishing over 100 scientific publications and patents.
